Classification of Students
The following system for student classification is used by the university:
|Freshman||fewer than 28 credits|
|Sophomore||at least 28 credits|
|Junior||at least 60 credits|
|Senior||at least 90 credits|
Senior classification does not ensure graduation; all requirements for a degree must be satisfactorily met in order to graduate. Freshmen and sophomores have lower-division standing. Juniors and seniors have upper-division standing. Unless specified otherwise in the course description, upper-division courses are open only to students with sophomore classification or above.
