PHIL 205 · Introduction to Philosophy 3 Credits
Introduction to the discipline of philosophy by means of developing and articulating a worldview that addresses worldview questions from a philosophical perspective. The course introduces the philosophical disciplines of epistemology, ethics, metaphysics, and philosophy of religion. Students discover the role and relevance of philosophical responses to worldview issues in popular conversation and culture.
PHIL 210 · Introduction to Ethics 3 Credits
Overview of key ethical frameworks, including Christian ethics, virtue ethics, and medical ethics. Students address a moral dilemma using a case-study approach and apply a Christian ethical framework to a step-by-step model for moral decision-making. Students also consider other major ethical frameworks and major philosophers.
