Good Standing, Academic Probation, and Academic Dismissal
A student is designated with the academic status of Good Standing when making satisfactory progress toward the degree. Satisfactory progress is measured after the end of the second term based on a student having completed at least 50% of the previous courses attempted. This is a cumulative measure that is recalculated at the end of each term beginning with the second term and includes all previous terms. If the student fails to complete courses at this rate, the student will be placed on Academic Probation. Those whose cumulative completion rate meets or exceeds 50% after the subsequent term will be restored to Good Standing, and students whose cumulative completion rate remains below 50% after the subsequent term will be Dismissed. Students on Academic Probation are ineligible for additional federal financial aid until their academic status is restored to Good Standing.
